MemoCards is a little program that permit to "paste" over your Mac desktop many little colored cards where you can collect extemporaneous notes.
Important cards may be "locked" to the desktop to prevent their accidental modification or deletion.
The ╥zoom╙ concept
Ñ Some cards have a button at the top-right corner of the window: this is the zoom button.
Ñ Clicking the zoom button, the window will switch between the user state and the ordered state .
Ñ You can move and size the windows at your pleasure, so defining the user state of the window.
Ñ The commands Reorder and Reorder Compact (see the menu Card) do the automatic ordering. The ordering criteria is from top to bottom and from left to right. Once this ordering is done, the windows are in the ordered state .
Ñ Each window remember its user state and its ordered state , so the zoom button can work.
Ñ The new cards don╒t have their zoom button because they are not been ordered yet.
The ╥default card╙ concept
Ñ Create a new card, selecting the command New from the menu Card, then give it the size, the color and the font you prefer.
Ñ Leave this card the current active card, and select the command Capture Default╔ from the menu Card. This command ╥capture╙ the style of the current card.
Ñ From now on all the new cards will be created with the same style of this one, and the automatic ordering will use this size.

Explanation of the preferences
Ñ╥Automatically save changes on ╘Quit╒╙ automatically save the changes at the Quit of the program or when you shut-down the computer. Suggestion: enable this option, and save the cards document file (or an alias to it) in the folder named "Startup Items".
Ñ╥Auto save changes switching in background╙ save the changes automatically every time the application goes to background. This prevent from data loss in case of crash of the system.
Ñ╥Use shadowed colors for 3D effects╙ may not work properly with less than 256 colors.
